Our auctions focus on artists whose talent has been widely recognized by critics and the public for many years, such as Dienes, Doisneau, Capa, Kertész, Bert Stern, Mapplethorpe, Man Ray, and also more contemporary artists like Robert Longo, H.G Esch, and Anja Jensen.

Photography Auctions

Since its inception in 2014 under the direction of Ophélie Guillerot, our Post-War & Contemporary Art department has organized auctions of vintage, modern, and contemporary photographs. The auctions orchestrated by Aguttes provide a comprehensive understanding of the photography market, allowing collectors and enthusiasts to enrich their private collections. The department leverages major events in the Parisian cultural calendar to spotlight these photographic works. Vintage photographs also receive our attention and are integrated into our cataloged auctions, often in our sales of historical and ancient documents, due to their importance in collective memory, including portraits, period silver prints by Gustave Le Gray or Nadar.
