This year marks the 33rd edition of the Tour Auto, starting from Paris and finishing in Biarritz after 5 days of thrilling racing. On this occasion, Aguttes will wield the gavel as part of this legendary competition
For the 50th anniversary of the house, Aguttes aims to share with the participants and visitors of the Tour Auto the richness and diversity that the house has cultivated since its inception. Several of its departments will be represented during the sale on April 22 at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles through more than 50 lots, each more exceptional than the last.
The selection we present is the result of several months of work to ensure that each lot is special and worthy of the attention of the best audience possible.

The Daytona, an iconic timepiece from the Rolex house
&w=3840&q=75)
The Rolex Daytona models known as "Big Red" under references 6263 and 6265 are among the most recognizable and iconic vintage Rolex Cosmograph and Rolex Daytona references. Introduced in the late 1960s, references 6263 and 6265 are identical except for their bezels, the former with a black acrylic insert, placed in a fixed steel bezel, and the latter with an engraved fixed steel bezel, like our example. In the 1970s, Rolex introduced a new dial configuration for references 6263 and 6265, now known among collectors as "BIG RED." It is called so because of the bolder red printing of the word "Daytona" above the 6 o'clock counter.
COSTA, a committed contemporary artist
&w=3840&q=75)
Born in 1970 in the heart of the Périgord Noir, in Sarlat, Fernando Costa developed a creative spirit from his childhood, inventing things from everyday objects. A committed contemporary artist, he cuts up old discarded road signs, denouncing waste. They then invent a second poetic life in abstract or narrative compositions, revealing the moods of the artist, his chromatic research, or the complex pictorial discourses he elaborates around themes or figures that are dear to him.
Other departments will also be highlighted, such as Fine Wines & Spirits, which will offer a select range from vintage Chartreuse VEP to a 1999 Château Rayas. The Design department is honored to present, among other items, a library signed by the versatile and ingenious creator Philippe Starck. As for the Fashion and Luggage department, it offers a meticulously curated selection of luxury handbags and luggage from houses such as Hermès, Chanel, and Louis Vuitton.
