On Thursday, 11 December 2025, in Neuilly-sur-Seine, we held under the direction of Agathe de Drouas the first “Fashion & Leather Goods” auction. On this occasion, a remarkable ensemble of seven Dior dresses, including six created during Monsieur Dior’s lifetime, achieved a total of €80,000.
“Beyond the excellent results achieved by the sale of this collection of dresses from the era of Monsieur Dior, our great satisfaction today at Aguttes lies in having contributed to the preservation and transmission of these pieces, once again demonstrating if proof were still needed that French couture is an integral part of our cultural heritage.”
— Agathe de Drouas, Fashion & Leather Goods Specialist
This inaugural auction dedicated entirely to Fashion & Leather Goods totalled €320,000.

€80,000 for a remarkable ensemble of seven Dior dresses, six dating from the era of Monsieur Dior
On 11 December 2025, bidders celebrated the “New Look”, the iconic creation of Christian Dior. Coined by Carmel Snow, Editor-in-Chief of Harper’s Bazaar, this style secured the couturier’s place in fashion history, and his creations are now regarded as true heritage pieces.
This aesthetic contributed to Christian Dior’s renown from his very first fashion show in 1947, and is defined by an ultra-feminine silhouette with rounded shoulders and a sharply defined, slender waist. An ensemble of seven dresses, including six from the era of Monsieur Dior, thus totalled €80,000. All of these dresses significantly exceeded their high estimates.
The labels, affixed to each creation, provide valuable information regarding the collections from which they originate: all Haute Couture models, presented between the Spring–Summer 1953 collection and Spring–Summer 1958.
