In-8 square, large lithograph in leporello format (17 x 200 cm) in the publisher’s illustrated and gilt-edged cardboard slipcase (very slight wear and minor soiling to the slipcase).
A large lithographic frieze in black, delicately watercoloured with highlights.
Consisting of a single lithograph printed on four joined sheets, each bearing a title at the bottom of the scene: The Rendezvous, Afternoon Tea in the Forest, The Hallali and The Cold Carcass.
The Château de Fontainebleau in the background, the imperial family with Napoleon III and the Empress. The hunters are in the uniform of the Imperial Hunting Party.
