(1)-920-158-(1) pp., table of contents, text in columns, drop caps, black-engraved wooden headbands. 19th-century-style speckled fawn calfskin, spined back with decorative raised bands, gilt fleurons, gilt scrolls and fillets, gilt title (Binding rubbed, particularly at the joints and corners; stains and discolouration on the first few pages; scattered foxing).
A single edition, published in the year of his death, of the works of this Jesuit preacher, regarded as one of the great spiritual writers of the 17th century.
Very large black engraved typographic mark with a portrait on the title page.
