2 parts in 1 volume, in-18, 562 pp., (12) ff., (3) blank ff., 303 pp. 18th-century marbled fawn calf, ribbed spine, gilt title, ornamented panels with small ironwork, cold-stamped fillet on the covers, red edges (one endpaper replaced, minor repairs to the caps and one corner, title oxidised and slightly soiled, a few scattered foxing spots).

Charles Cohn, or Colin, with his old handwritten bookplate on the back of the title page and at the bottom of the first page.

“First edition printed by Jean de Tournes, very rare and very attractive. It was published by Antoine du Moulin, and contains three new pieces: an epigram *Contre l’inique* (p. 416), an *Églogue* and a *Congratulation*” (Tchemerzine, VIII, 32).

The volume also contains Marot’s translations following the main text.

A beautiful, finely engraved typographical mark on the title page.
