Paris, Éditions de la Revue Blanche, (1902).

In-12, (3) ff., 302 pp. Red morocco, raised ribbed spine, author’s name and title in gold, date stamped at the foot, endpapers lined in red morocco, edges gilt on endpapers, cover and spine preserved [Gras] (spine very slightly faded).

René Rouzaud (1905–1976), a famous lyricist and composer, best known for *La Goualante du pauvre Jean*, performed by Edith Piaf (gilt ex-libris on a blue card).

First edition, printed in a run of 15 copies on large-format paper: one of the 12 printed on vellum from the Papeteries du Marais, produced especially for Éditions de la revue blanche (no. 15, the only paper used after 3 China and 3 Japan).

Original cover preserved, illustrated from a watercolour by Pierre Bonnard.

A charming copy in a binding perfectly executed by Madeleine Gras.

Madeleine Gras (1891–1958), trained at the Union Centrale des Arts Décoratifs at the height of the Art Deco period, was a pupil of Noulhac, alongside Rose Adler, amongst others.
