Ernest Fort (1868–1938), librarian and archivist in Bayonne, and above all an illustrator, watercolourist and draughtsman of uniforms from the Empire to the Great War. Author of several books, he is noted for his work on the history of customs uniforms, being himself the son of a customs officer.
