Fawn morocco, ribbed spine, author, title, place and date in gold, octagonal decoration comprising a pattern of multiple gold fillets and ironwork on the panels and covers, double gold fillet on the headbands and edges, six gilt fillets on the cap bands, gilt edges, cover preserved [Chambolle-Duru] (foxing on the cover and a few pages).
A fine copy in an elegant, signed morocco binding.
The illustrations consist of a frontispiece, headpieces and tailpieces.
A print run of 275 copies, including 225 copies of an edition illustrated by S. Acros on vellum, of which this is no. 22.
Bound with two sets of each illustration, including a frontispiece before the text, one of the sets printed in grisaille.
