A covered tripod vase made of iron with gold and silver inlays, Komai; the globular body is decorated with two cartouches depicting pavilions and houses set against landscapes of lakes and trees, The lid, base and feet are embellished with geometric patterns and enlivened by medallions decorated with calabashes and flowers; the neck is adorned with bunches of grapes; the handles are shaped like inverted ‘U’s; the underside bears the character ‘Raku’.
