LARGE GLASS-COOLING BOWL FEATURING COAT OF ARMS

Oval-shaped silver wine cooler. The bowl, resting on a pedestal, is engraved with the combined coat of arms of Armand Jean François Charles, Marquis de L’Escalopier, and his wife, née Caroline Jeanne de Bailly (who married in 1807). The crenellated rim is decorated with a frieze of palmettes and fitted with handles adorned with foliage motifs.
Vieillard hallmark, 1st title, Paris 1819–1838. No silversmith’s hallmark.
