Universal Geneva watches

Universal Genève is a Swiss watch brand founded in 1894 by Numa Emile Descombes and Ulysse Georges Perret. It was a manufacture that produced its own watches entirely, from the case to the movement. Universal Genève created the first wristwatch chronograph in 1917. Although the brand is no longer in operation, Universal Genève remains a legendary name in Swiss watchmaking, renowned for its chronographs and numerous iconic models: Compax, Tri-Compax, Aero-Compax, Compur, Polerouter, Disco-Volante, among others. In the 1970s, a Universal Genève chronograph model was frequently worn on Formula 1 circuits by the wife of driver Jochen Rindt, giving this model its name: NINA RINDT.
