Invader is a French artist born in 1969. While he remains anonymous, it is known that he attended the Regional School of Fine Arts in Rouen. The artist's style is quite distinctive, and his works are easily recognizable. Indeed, they are directly inspired by the video game 'Space Invaders,' which caused a sensation when it was released in 1979. The video game characters are quirky, pixelated little creatures.

The artist began his career around 1990. He views each of his works as a form of invasion (to invade – invader), which he carefully organizes. He selects the location of the invasion, the materials he will use, and more. He creates his works using mosaic tiles, which he affixes to walls, a technique that allows him to achieve the sought-after "pixel" effect.

Invader’s first work was created in Paris, in the Bastille district. Since then, 'Invaders' can be found all over the world: Tokyo, London, Bangkok, and more. One of the most unusual places the artist has "invaded" is the Hollywood sign in Los Angeles. The artist has since expanded and worked with other mediums, more suited to gallery spaces. Today, he is recognized globally and has exhibited his works in places such as Lyon, Rotterdam, and Australia.

Aguttes' STREET ART department was founded in 2011 to meet the growing demand in the art market.
