Suzanne Belperron jewels

Suzanne Belperron, a mid-20th century jewelry designer, became an iconic figure in the world of jewelry. Born in 1900, she began her career at the age of 19 as a designer for the renowned Maison Boivin. In 1932, Bernard Herz, a prominent Parisian dealer in diamonds and fine pearls, invited her to join him, offering her the freedom she so greatly needed. Her success became international.

Suzanne Belperron offered her prestigious clientele entirely new jewelry, distinguished by its materials, shapes, and volumes, different from anything the jewelry world had previously offered. “Even though her jewelry can sometimes be a bit exuberant, it remains elegant. Her creativity never oversteps the bounds of good taste: this is the key to the Belperron mystery.”
