Georges Lenfant jewels
Specialties
Jewelry & Fine Pearls
Georges Lenfant was a skilled gold jewelry designer. He registered his hallmark in 1909 and was joined in 1915 by his son Jacques Lenfant, who carried on the family’s craftsmanship, recognized for its high quality. The hallmark "GL" accompanied by a dice and a bird’s wing is the distinctive mark of their atelier, located at 47 Rue des Petits-Champs, just steps away from the prestigious jewelry houses of Place Vendôme and Rue de la Paix. It was customary until the last quarter of the 20th century for independent designers to work closely with houses such as Cartier, Van Cleef & Arpels, and Mellerio dits Meller. The hallmark of Georges Lenfant's atelier can be found on many pieces sold by these renowned names. Lenfant is particularly known for his bracelets and chains, featuring finely woven, twisted textures, matte gold, and sometimes alternating with combinations of different-colored golds.
