A 18k yellow gold manual winding wristwatch adapted from a pocket watch We would like to thank Mr. Emmanuel Breguet and the Breguet SA archives for their information confirming the specifications of this watch: "13-line gold winding watch, Empire No. 81756 gold case, polished back, guilloché caseband, silver dial, Breguet hours and hands, gold cuvette, anchor escapement, compensating balance, sold on August 23, 1909 to Mrs. Badly for the sum of 650 francs (adapted for bracelet after 1926, outside the House of Breguet)". Notes: In the 1920s, the transition from pocket watches to wristwatches led to various adaptations, as illustrated by our example with a transformation that took place after 1926 outside the House of Breguet. This period, often referred to as the Roaring Twenties, marked an important phase in the evolution of watchmaking. It is likely that this watch was modified at the family's request, to align itself with the trends of the time. Condition report given for information only: Sold as is, without warranty Traces of wear and tear visible throughout, Movement works, but needs to be overhauled Condition report given as an indication: Sold as is, without warranty Signs of wear from use visible throughout Movement is ticking but plan for standard overhaul
